Most Common Reasons for Unexpected Charges
1. Automatic Subscription Renewal
The most frequent reason for an unexpected charge is an active subscription renewing automatically on its scheduled billing date.
What to do: Log in to your ZOE membership portal and check Your Plans to see your active recurring plans and upcoming delivery dates.
2. Multiple ZOE Accounts
Subscriptions and order histories are tied strictly to the email address used at checkout. If you have more than one account (for example, a personal email and a work email, or a account created via Apple Private Relay), a subscription on an alternative account may have renewed.
What to do: Try logging into the portal using any secondary email addresses you regularly use to see if the active subscription is attached to that inbox.
3. Shared Account or Device Access
If a family member, partner, or housemate has access to your ZOE account, shared device, or payment details, they may have renewed a plan or placed an order on your behalf.
💡 Tip: If you checked your account and want to adjust or pause future billing dates, you can easily manage, skip, or reschedule your upcoming deliveries directly in the Your Plans tab.
