If your Diet Score is showing as N/A or simply not appearing after logging your meals, don't worry - as there can be some clear causes for this. Work through the checks below to find out what's happening:
Reason 1: You're using an older version of the app
An older version of the ZOE app can cause the Diet Score to display as N/A even when meals have been logged correctly.
How to fix it
Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android).
Search for ZOE and check whether an update is available.
Tap Update, then reopen the app.
Log a meal (or wait until the next day if you've already logged today's meals) and check whether your Diet Score now appears.
Tip: Enabling automatic app updates prevents this from happening in the future. You can turn this on in your phone's App Store or Play Store settings.
Reason 2: You haven't reached the minimum logging threshold yet
Your Diet Score only generates once you've logged enough food. We require a minimum of 2 meals or 1,200 calories before we can accurately calculate your diet quality for the day.
This means:
If you've only logged one meal or a small snack, your Diet Score won't appear yet.
Your Diet Score always shows the following day - it reflects yesterday's complete logging, not today's.
The targets on the Diet screen will still be visible so you can track your progress, but the score itself needs that minimum before it calculates.
What to do
Keep logging your meals throughout the day. Once you've hit 2 meals or 1,200 calories on a given day, your Diet Score will appear the following morning under the Diet tab.
Reason 3: A temporary backend issue
Occasionally, a temporary issue on our end can prevent Diet Scores from calculating or displaying correctly. This affects multiple members at once and is not related to your account or device.
What to do
Close the ZOE app fully and reopen it.
Wait a few hours — scores typically recover automatically once the issue is resolved.
Check our status page or in-app announcements for any known outages.
If the score is still missing after 24 hours, contact our support team.
Still not sure which applies to you?
Use this quick checklist:
✅ App is up to date → rules out Reason 1
✅ Logged 2+ meals or 1,200+ calories yesterday → rules out Reason 2
✅ Score is still missing today → likely Reason 3, or contact support
If you've worked through all three checks and your Diet Score is still not showing, get in touch with the ZOE support team and we'll investigate your account directly.
