How do we calculate your intake of lower quality fats?

We calculate how much fat is in the foods you logged the week before the report was produced. For this, we rely on reputable scientific compositional databases, such as USDA and COFiD, or for branded items, from the back of pack labels with the information provided from the manufacturer.

ZOE assigns a fat quality measure to foods containing fat, with five measures available: bad, poor, average, good, and excellent. Your intake of lower quality fats includes consumption from bad, poor, and average food sources.

Please note that we calculate how much lower quality fats you averaged daily over the previous week based on the days you logged. πŸ“…
