Now that your test kit has arrived, it's time to start your ZOE tests. In this article, we’ll cover everything you need to know before picking your start date. So you can feel prepared to start your ZOE journey with confidence.
In this article, you’ll learn more about:
Your ZOE Test (1 day)
Your diet assessment (3 days)
What happens after your tests?
Your ZOE test (1 day)
Your journey will start with a day of testing your biology at home. Each test is specially designed by world-leading scientists to help you uncover the truth about how food affects your body.
These tests will need to be done at precise times and are important for your results. So we recommend picking a start date where you’ll be able to do them accurately and on time.
Don’t worry, your ZOE app will guide you step-by-step through the process! Each day you’ll see your tasks in your ‘to-do’ list and all your lessons can be accessed under the ‘My Lessons’ tab in your app. We'll also send you handy reminders to help you stay on track. If you're ever in doubt about what to do next, just open up your app for guidance.
Your diet assessment (3 days)
Optional, but recommended
Next, you’ll test and log all your meals in the ZOE app for 3 days. This forms part of your diet assessment that we’ll use to give you:
personalized feedback on your diet
scores for all your logged meals
recommendations for foods that you can eat more of, continue eating, and consider swapping for a healthier gut and metabolism
What happens after your tests?
It takes 2-4 weeks for our labs to process your samples once you've sent them back to us. We'll send you an email as soon as your results are ready. Once you've finished up your tests, you'll be able to track the progress of your results in the ZOE app.
While waiting for your results, you can continue your daily lessons. In ZOE 103, we'll dive into the science of the gut microbiome and offer actionable advice you can use to start eating for your gut bugs!
