What does “newly discovered” next to bacteria names mean in my microbiome results?

Thanks to a larger dataset and new DNA analysis software from our colleagues in Trento, together we’ve discovered thousands of new bacteria that we didn’t know existed before – actually, that no one knew existed. When you see "newly discovered" next to a bacteria name, it means it's one of the new bacterial strains that we've uncovered.
