24 hours after activation, you should be able to take a reading from your blood sugar sensor and it should show a graph that looks like a squiggly black or red line. If so, your sensor has been set up properly and is ready to go.

If you don’t wait those 24 hours, you may receive a communication error or a sensor error message when you check your sensor. Just wait a little longer for the sensor to calibrate.

But if you’re getting errors after waiting the 24 hours, there may be something wrong with your sensor or reader. If this happens, please get in touch with us via the chat feature in the ZOE app before removing your sensor. Please do not discard the sensor under any circumstance. All sensors should be returned to ZOE at the end of testing.
