What’s my personal fat threshold?
What’s my personal fat threshold?

It takes time for our bodies to remove fat from our blood after eating. In our study, we found that some people still had elevated blood fat levels several hours after eating the same 70g of fat.

As a result of this study, we believe that an individual’s fat tolerance can range from 55-100g of high-quality fat in 8 hours, depending on their personal fat control scores. This threshold will drop if you eat lower-quality fats (more significantly for poor and bad quality fats e.g. butter and animal fat) rather than high-quality fat (e.g. from avocado).

Your personal fat threshold is based on your Blood Fat score. For example, if you had a blood fat score of 23 (Bad), your personal fat threshold is likely to be on the lower end of the 55-100g range (applies to high-quality fats over 8-hour window, lower-quality fats reduce this 55-100g range).

We can’t tell you your exact threshold, as it changes day to day, depending on the quality of the fat you eat. You can see an example of how fat quality influences your threshold below.
