When do you start logging your meals?

You’ll be encouraged to log your meals on days 2-4 of your testing phase. Logging food is optional after day 4, but if you do log you’ll get:

  1. ZOE Food Scores for all your logged meals when your results are ready,

  2. More personalised recommendations you can use to improve your diet

Once you receive your results, you’ll need to begin logging your meals to learn more about which foods best align with your biology.

When can you access your daily nutrition information?

Your macronutrient information will appear in the app once you receive your results. This usually happens 2-6 weeks after sending back your samples.

How often do you need to log your meals?

While daily logging gives you access to more personalised insights, we know life can be busy. Aim to log as consistently as you can, even 2-3 days is ideal. Remember, any logging is better than none.

What are the benefits of logging?

  1. Personalised Insights: Frequent logging allows you to better understand which foods are best for your biology.

  2. Increased Awareness: Logging helps you tune into your eating habits – you might discover patterns you hadn't noticed before.

  3. Progress Tracking: Consistent logging lets you see how your choices evolve over time. You’ll also be able to monitor the pillars of your diet (fibre, protein, fats and UPFs).

What to expect

Logging might feel a bit tricky at first, but don't worry – it gets easier with practice. Start by logging 1-2 days each week and gradually build on this habit throughout your ZOE journey. There are lots of features to help make logging easier:

  • Photo logging: Snap a photo of your dish, and the app will automatically add all the ingredients for you.

  • Import recipes: Upload recipes effortlessly by importing a link or taking a photo of the recipe - straight into your ZOE app.

  • Describe my meal: Provide a quick description of your meal, and the app will generate a complete recipe for you.

  • Share your meals: Save time for other ZOE members by sharing your recipes, making it easy for them to log the whole meal.

  • My Foods and My Recipes: Save your favourite foods and recipes in one place, making it quicker and easier to find and log them again.

Our app is designed to make logging as simple as possible, with features like photo logging and recipe creation to speed things up.

Keep going – you've got this!

Every log entry is a step towards better health. Don't aim for perfection – consistency is what matters. Celebrate your wins, whether it's logging a full day or discovering a new favourite nutritious meal. Remember, you're on an exciting journey to understand your body better.
